Metropolitan Fault

The secrets of a January river

flow by the concrete monuments

intercepting them

passing through obstructions:

the thread through the eye of the needle

uncontained.

And we’re watching from towers

while the zeus holds us in his omnipotent hand

an aerial view of symmetrical authority

the grace of a surface patchwork

used and re-used

letting death expand.

And it becomes too wide to see.
